Fractal Textures II

Texture and Light

Creation of a dynamic building skin system based upon earlier studies of texture. The skin system is adjustable based upon lighting and weather conditions as well as surface curvature. A ⅛" Steel flat bar structure and custom steel armature embedded in resin holds the skin system in place.

Methods of fabrication included 3d modeling in modo, plaster molding created by 3-axis CNC mill, slip casting, and MIG welding.
